One could say that I got an early start with networking, community building and story-telling which were all key ‘survival skills’ of a third culture kid growing up in Belgium, Senegal, United Kingdom, Philippines, Austria, Turkey, and Hungary all before finishing high school.
As such, I naturally gravitated towards a career in international relations and communications, often acting as a ‘translator’, helping colleagues and partners to translate their technical/business challenges into viable knowledge sharing initiatives, innovative community platforms and ground-breaking events.
I have always been inspired by the transformational power of information communication technologies and AI to do better business, improve society, and help solve global challenges.
As one of the creators of the landmark United Nations AI for Good Global Summit, my mission is to connect AI innovators with problem owners to help advance the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
Now living in Switzerland, I head up the Strategic Engagement Division for ITU’s Standardization Bureau, generating new opportunities for its 900+ private companies, 193 member states and 150+ universities to help drive international standards development, forge new partnerships and attract new communities to ITU.
Alongside my passion for disruptive technologies, I am also an avid traveller, life-long drummer, board sports enthusiast, cyclist, and father of three boys, providing ample cross-training opportunities for life and work.
