Trust in the age of Generative AI

Promoting trust by equipping governments, organisations and individuals to be resilient in the era of digital transformation of life and society.

The rise of generative AI brings immense potential to transform industries and society, but also risks from misuse spreading disinformation and manipulated content. This threatens information as a public good and can provoke social, political and economic harms globally.

Recognizing generative AI’s disruptive scale, AI Commons along with the OECD have designed and organizing the challenge, and are joined by the The World Bank, IDB, GPAI, IEEE, UNESCO, VDE and others partners to launch an open Global Challenge to build trust and counter disinformation.

This competitive challenge will convene diverse stakeholders worldwide to advance actionable solutions that promote transparency and restore confidence in information veracity. Proven approaches can then be adapted to counter generative AI risks at scale.

With collective action, the challenge aims to forge a path for policy along with technology innovation to build resilience globally and to drive inclusive progress that realizes generative AI’s potential through responsible development centered on trust.

The challenge will be announced in 2024. Click here to download the Global Challenge flyer. Partners willing to join can do so in the Global Challenge Partner Inquiry Form.
